Services Offered by the Madoc Public Library

Books

The Madoc Public Library offers a variety of reading material:

Fiction, Non-Fiction, Mysteries, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Westerns, Large Type, Audio Books, Children's Books, Reference Material, Local History Collection (Newspaper Microfiche, Cemetery records, History books, Census recordes, Family history)

Inter-Library Loan
We will gladly try to get you any book that we do not have at this library from another library in the province.
Computers
Computers are available to anyone with a valid library card. They can be reserved for a one hour period. Internet access is available in accordance with the terms of our Internet policy. Children under 16 must have form signed by a parent or guardian.
Shut In Service
For people who cannot access the library for medical reasons, books can be delivered to your home though the help of Volunteer drivers. If you would like to volunteer for this service, please contact Susan Smith at the Madoc library.

Membership

Anyone living in Centre Hastings, Madoc Township or Tudor may borrow material from Madoc Library free of charge. A non-resident fee of $15.00 per person, $30.00 per family will be charged for persons living in other townships.

Reciprocal Agreements

Persons with a valid library card from Marmora Public Library and Tweed Public Library may borrow material from Madoc and patrons from Madoc library may borrow from Marmora and Tweed as long as material is returned to original library.
